Mount St. Mary's Seminary

​The National Shrine Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes, a Catholic national shrine devoted to Our Blessed Mother Mary, is on campus with the second-oldest Catholic theologate in the United States, Mount St. Mary’s Seminary.

Mount St. Mary’s Seminary is truly a national seminary whose alumni have been serving as priests for many diocese across our great country. Since our humble beginnings in 1808 we have continued to thrive in partnership with bishops and religious superiors in preparing candidates for the priesthood who strive for holiness, are devoted to the Holy Eucharist and the Blessed Mother, and are totally loyal to the Gospel and the teaching of the Church.​
