Meet Our Guest Speakers

Monsignor Charles Mangan is a priest of the Diocese of Sioux Falls. He was ordained on June 29, 1989 by the Most Reverend Paul V. Dudley, D.D., the Bishop of Sioux Falls. Monsignor Mangan has served as parochial vicar, pastor, Vice Chancellor and Defender of the Bond. He also worked in the Vatican Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life under Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI. Monsignor Mangan was commissioned by Pope Francis as a “Missionary of Mercy” during the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy (2015—2016). Currently, he is a professor and spiritual director at Mount Saint Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland.

John-Mark L. Miravalle received his doctorate in sacred theology from the Regina Apostolorum in Rome, and teaches theology and philosophy at Mount St. Mary's Seminary. He has published six books, and has debated noted atheists on God's existence, same-sex marriage, and theistic morality. He and his wife Jessica have seven children.

Originally from the Washington, D.C. area, Dr. Gloria Falcão Dodd got her B.A. in theology from Christendom College, a Masters of Divinity and a License of Sacred Theology from the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, D.C. before earning her Doctorate in Sacred Theology at the International Marian Research Institute with the University of Dayton. She is the author of the book, The Virgin Mary, Mediatrix of All Grace: History and Theology of the Movement for a Dogmatic Definition from 1896 to 1964, as well as book chapters and articles. She has taught at the Graduate School of Christendom College, the University of Saint Francis, and the University of Dayton. She is a member of the International Pontifical Marian Academy, former President of the Mariological Society of America, and an officer of the Legion of Mary in Ohio, along with her husband, Ennis. She loves Our Lady and hopes that her presentation will deepen your love for Jesus and Mary, too.
