Mass Certificates
THANK YOU for giving the gift of prayer to a loved one. In placing the needs of someone in the hands of God, we give our understanding, comfort and encouragement.
Annual Mass Enrollment Saturday and Sunday Mass, 12 p.m. As members, those enrolled, whether living or deceased benefit from the prayers offered for them. For the living, prayers for their well-being or for overcoming a life struggle can bring hope and peace. Father's Day Mass
Be sure to wish your dad or grandfather a happy Father’s Day, or say a prayer for him if he has passed on. While you’re at it, be sure to say happy Father’s Day to your priest. Our spiritual fathers reflect the love of God to us on a daily basis as well. Father's Day Prayer God our Father, we give you thanks and praise for fathers young and old. We pray for young fathers, newly embracing their vocation; may they find courage and perseverance to balance work, family and faith in joy and sacrifice. We pray for our own fathers around the world whose children are lost or suffering; may they know that the God of compassion walks with them in their sorrow. We pray for men who are not fathers but still mentor and guide us with fatherly love and advice. We remember fathers, grandfathers and great grandfathers who are no longer with us but who live forever in our memory and nourish us with their love. R/. Amen |
All Souls Day
Today, we celebrate All Souls Day. On this day and throughout the month of November, we remember and pray for the souls of our loved ones who still mean so very much to us. The passing of our loved ones is not the end. It is the beginning of eternal life, a life lived in and with Christ through all eternity. Send to the National Shrine Grotto the names of the souls of your loved ones, your dearly departed, and they will be remembered at Mass on All Souls Day and throughout the month of November. |
Christmas ~ Our Savior is Born! This Christmas, peace and love will shine as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ at National Shrine Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes! Christmas Mass Enrollment December 24 through January 6 (Feast of the Epiphany) |
Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes Celebration
On December 8, 1854, Pope Pius IX proclaimed the dogma of the Immaculate Conception in the apostolic constitution Ineffabilis Deus. A little more than three years later, on February 11, 1858, a young lady appeared to Bernadette Soubirous. This began a series of visions. During the apparition on March 25, the lady identified herself with the words: “I am the Immaculate Conception.” Enroll a loved one, to be remembered during this Mass celebration, asking Our Lady to cast a merciful glance upon your intention, one who may be suffering, struggling against difficulties. May our Mother's intercession to her Son, Jesus, grant hope and peace to your loved one. |
Easter Sunday ~ Our Lord has Risen!
At Easter, we celebrate the Resurrection of Christ and his victory over sin and death. Through his death and resurrection, Jesus gives us new life and new hope. You and anyone you enroll will be remembered during this special Mass. |
